In this challenging time, you and the people you serve may be facing difficult decisions. This is the second in a series of emails to provide you with resources to help.

When money is tight, it’s important to understand where each dollar is going.  You can help those you serve with the Spending tracker from our Your Money, Your Goals financial empowerment toolkit to get a clear picture of where you’re using your money and financial resources.

This tool can help you and those you serve keep track of purchases for a week or two by keeping your receipts or reviewing your bank account or credit card transactions.  Track for a whole month to get an even fuller picture. Once you see where your money is going, you can start to make the difficult decisions about where to tighten your belt.

If you or others experience a problem with a financial product or service you can submit a complaint with the CFPB.

Thank you,
