2016 WV Center for Children’s Justice,
Handle with Care Conference
October 11-13, 2016
Civic Center, Charleston, WV
-Dr. Vincent J. Felitti, one of the world’s foremost experts on childhood trauma and co-principal investigator of the internationally recognized Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study will headline the conference at the opening plenary session.
-This training will benefit all multi-disciplinary professionals who work in child maltreatment. Breakout sessions will be available for Law Enforcement, Prosecution, Medical, Social Workers and Treatment and will cover a variety of topics including trauma, child physical and sexual abuse, child neglect, drug endangered children (DEC), child trafficking and children with disabilities.
-The registration fee is $150, includes CEU’s and hotel room blocks will be available at the state rate.
-There will be a pre-conference session on the WV Handle with Care program on Monday, October 10th. This will include a question and answer portion to help you get Handle with Care started in your community.
-Registration will be forthcoming at www.handlewithcarewv.org
-This conference is a combination of the WV Children’s Justice Task Force and WV Drug Endangered Children Conference.
