SAVE THE DATE – August 27th for Cruise in for Kids at the Huntington Mall
(Barboursville, WV)- The Huntington Mall’s back to school season has an event that focuses on community organizations, safety and fun! The Cruise in for Kids car show to be held on Saturday, August 27, with the Cabell County Student Empowerment Team (CCSET) in the front mall parking lot across from Pier One Imports from 5pm to 8pm. This is a charity event to raise money and awareness for the Cabell County Student Empowerment Team, an affiliate of the Cabell County Family Resource Network, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
Activities include: a Cruise In car show open to all cars, trucks, or motorcycles. The registration fee is a $10 donation to CCSET. There will be door prizes specifically for cruise in participants as well as a goody bag and a chance to win the People’s Choice Award dash plaque. The family fun activities include: WDGG 93.7 FM THE DAWG; Air Force -Gyro & Gaming truck ; Army Reserve -Rock Wall; Marines- Pull up bar& prizes; National Guard-Blow up football toss & prizes; Totally Awesome Faces by Jess and balloon animals; WV Alcohol and Beverage Control Administration’s DUI Simulator; Barboursville Fire Department; Ona Fire Department; Barboursville Police; Huntington Police K-9 Unit; Chick-Fil-A Cow; Little Caesar’s Pizza Man; Rocky’s Ice Cream; Dave’s Hot Dogs; Dunking Tank (2 throws for a $1); Split the Pot drawing (50/50) ; and a Door Prize Raffle. Door prize and 50/50 tickets are $1 per ticket or 10 for $5 and entertainment bracelets are $5 per person. All donations at this event will benefit the Cabell County Student Empowerment Team to connect students in poverty in Cabell County with the community resources they need to succeed in school.
