Fashion with a Purpose: Branches Domestic Violence Shelter presents

“Dresses for Domestic Peace”

Branches Domestic Violence Shelter believes every young woman deserves to feel beautiful on prom night and feel safe every other night of the year, too.

“Dresses for Domestic Peace” is a one-day-only dress sale hosted by Branches Domestic Violence Shelter & True Blue Salon that will be held at True Blue Salon on Sunday, March 10 from 1pm-4pm.  This dress sale will not only support the availability of gorgeous dresses to local teens, but it will also support Branches & Branches’ Safe Dates Program.  Girls can get an elegant new look for as low as $25, while giving to a good cause.

Branches’ mission is to resell donated new and used formal wear and accessories to high school students who may otherwise not be able to afford to attend their high school prom or homecoming, or even those who are looking for a great bargain, with 100% of the proceeds going to help Branches Domestic Violence Shelter.

So join us for a fun filled day of fashion and find your perfect prom dress while helping victims in our area!  True Blue Salon, is located at the East Gate Shopping Center, 3677 Rt. 60 East, Barboursville, WV (behind Outback Steakhouse).

Branches will still be accepting formal wear and accessories up until the event and all donations are tax deductible.  For more information, contact Branches Domestic Violence Shelter at 304-529-2382.

Branches Domestic Violence Shelter was established as a non-profit agency in 1980.  Branches works to empower the increasing number of victims and their families to break the cycle of domestic violence in our area.  Aside from providing housing; Branches offers legal assistance, counseling, and case management to ready our clients to become independent.  Currently Branches has one operational housing shelter and four outreach offices located in adjoining counties, Mason, Putnam, Wayne, & Lincoln, to provide additional resources.
