It is hard to believe a year has passed and what a challenging unpredictable year 2020 was. We are looking to plan pinwheel gardens for the month of April. Even though they may not be done in the exact same way, we want to get those pinwheels spinning to promote great childhoods that all children deserve!
Prevent Child Abuse America has given some recommendations about doing pinwheel promotion this year… “Given the current increase in COVID-19 infections and related deaths across the United States, and based on the CDC’s projections for continued high rates of the same in the coming months, PCA America strongly recommends that individuals and organizations do not host and/or attend large in-person Pinwheels for Prevention® events leading up to and during April, National Child Abuse Prevention Month.”
I think that each site can still have their pinwheel garden with big impact on bringing awareness to child abuse prevention and how to give children a good beginning while done as a small event.
