Summer Care in WV

Inadequate dependent care options for working grandparents, parents or caregivers often negatively impact workforce demands. To help tackle such barriers to the workforce, WV Forward and partners are examining short-term and long-term solutions that look at where care services are needed, what creative solutions could provide more care quickly and economic models that better support caregiving businesses.

To meet immediate caregiving needs, WV Forward has compiled a list more than 250 statewide 2019 summer care options, including programs offered by West Virginia University, Marshall University and others accredited through the American Camp Association. The goal is to help working parents find quality care options so they can have peace of mind and productive days at work.

*Disclaimer: These summer care programs have been independently reported to WV Forward as ACA certified, but they are not specifically evaluated or endorsed by WV Forward.
