The 2018 Young WV Power Building Conference is set!

Mark YOUR calendar for Friday, September 14 through Sunday, September 16!

The Young WV conference is an annual opportunity for West Virginia’s emerging and promising young leaders (ranging from 15 to 25 years old) to gather and share ideas, peer to peer, all while building leadership and advocacy skills. What is unique about this conference? It is planned and led entirely by young leaders!

The theme of this year’s conference is boldness: bold ideas, bold workshops, bold policies. All across WV, young leaders are already working on and creating radical change in mental health, gun/school safety policy, racial justice, substance use prevention and more. If you have an idea or issue you would like to present,  now is your chance! We are looking for more workshop presenters between the ages of 15 – 25!

Submit your workshop idea here (Not quite ready, that’s okay…we can help you! Contact Megan at megan@ourfuturewv.org). Submissions accepted until July 31!

Would you like to:

·         Build leadership skills and learn to advocate

·         Meet other incredible young leaders from across the state

·         Create policy change at your school, local community and the state

GET $$$ to work on your issue or project!

Then this conference is for YOU! Registration opening soon

This year’s conference leaders, Mackenzie, Kristiana, Kala and Megan, are excited to see you this September at Marshall University!

Kristiana Drummer – a senior at West Virginia State University studying political science and history.
