Nearly 3,500 people were killed in distraction-related crashes in 2015, an increase of 8.8% from 2014. The latest data also shows 431,000 people were injured from crashes involving distracted drivers over a one year period.*
April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month and Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY) is offering a free, online 20-minute distracted driver training course to help educate people about being safer behind the wheel. During the month of April, anyone can watch this online course and receive a Certificate of Completion after passing a five minute online exam.
