Wellspring Opens New Cabell County Office

Wellspring Family Services, a division of Crittenton Services, has opened a new outpatient and home-based counseling office in Huntington, thanks to a grant provided by philosophy’s Hope & Grace Initiative. Wellspring Family Services is the outpatient, community-based behavioral health services division of Crittenton Services, a trauma-focused organization with more than 120 years of service to West Virginia children and families.

The Cabell County office, located on 1596 Washington Blvd. in Huntington, serves all of Cabell County, and parts of Wayne and Putnam counties. The new service site selection was based on needs assessments and recommendations from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.

Wellspring Family Services has been helping children, families and individuals with professional counseling services for more than 30 years. Offices serve as hubs, from which trauma-focused therapists visit clients at home, in schools, and in other community settings. Because Wellspring clients are predominantly children and adolescents, the entire family is part of the therapeutic process, making home-based care a convenient and effective approach to care delivery.

“The new Huntington office will help us serve so many in need. With our experienced and dedicated staff, children and families in Huntington will now have quality services at their doorsteps,” said Beverly Petrelli, Clinical Director.

Wellspring therapists assist individuals and families struggling with mental health issues like depression, behavioral problems, addiction, divorce, parenting concerns, problems at school, family relationships and emotional issues. Most insurance plans are accepted, including all WV Medicaid managed care providers. Active clients have access to 24-hour crisis intervention.

Last year, more than 1400 clients chose Wellspring Family Services as a mental health provider. Wellspring currently has offices in Weirton, Wheeling, New Martinsville, Morgantown, Harrisville and Parkersburg.
