Fifth Third Bank is looking for community volunteers for its Young Bankers Club program. This is a great opportunity to volunteer in the community and to assist our children with understanding the importance of financial literacy. Children who learn at an early age about finances and personal responsibility have valuable tools that will last a lifetime. That’s why Fifth Third Bank developed The Young Bankers Club—a unique hands-on financial literacy program geared toward fifth grade students. Youngsters learn first-hand the importance of saving and becoming educated consumers, while being mentored by banking professionals and dedicated community volunteers. This is where you can help. They need support from local non-profit organizations, businesses and members of the community. The commitment required of the mentors is 1.5 hours a week (includes preparation time) for 10 weeks and a mentor training session.

The program will be kicking off the first week of February, 2016. If you would like to volunteer for the Young Bankers Club program, please contact Gretchen Bias, AVP, Community and Economic Development at Fifth Third Bank by calling 304-696-5316 or by email at gretchen.bias@53.com. Become a Young Bankers Club mentor and change the life of a fifth grader forever!
