The First Annual Abilities Fair 2014 this weekend!!

 

See you at Huntington Mall this weekend!

Mountain State Centers for Independent Living is partnering with the Huntington Mall for The First Annual Abilities Fair on Friday June 20 through Sunday June 22 at the Huntington Mall during mall hours.

Mall hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

The Abilities Fair is going to be a learning and a fun event with heroes and dancers, captains and models.

 

Events scheduled to date:

Friday, June 20

  • The first 50 people to the event on Friday will receive a Wild and Wonderful West Virginia pin
  • 11 am: A birthday celebration in Center Court for West Virginia with birthday cake and fun activities throughout the day.
  • 2 to 4 p.m: Captain McFinn and friends will spread the word on how to be a buddy, not a bully.

Saturday, June 21

  • 1 p.m.: Fashion Show of and for people with disabilities. Fashions provided by JCPenney. Fashion show takes place on the red carpet in front of Macy’s.
  • 2 to 4 p.m: Captain McFinn and friends will spread the word on how to be a buddy, not a bully.

Sunday, June 22

  • 1 to 3 p.m.: Be the hero! Join Heroes 4 Higher in Macy’s court for an important message on being a hero in your community. Heroes available for photos.
  • 2 to 4 p.m: Captain McFinn and friends will spread the word on how to be a buddy, not a bully.

The Abilities Fair will be held during Mall hours Friday and Saturday open from 10am-9pm and Sunday 11am-6pm.
