Regional Health Connect Chronic Disease Forum

 February 27, 2018

8:00-9:00 a.m.

The number one cause of death, disability, and rising health care

costs is chronic disease. According to the World Health Organization, noncommunicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease (heart disease and stroke), diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases and cancer account for the more than 60% of deaths. By 2020 this percentage will increase to more than 72%.

The February Regional Health Connect meeting will focus on strengthening of partnerships and efforts to address the chronic disease burden in Cabell County.

Please join us to review the most current data and discussion on how we address the challenge of chronic disease, how we achieve healthy changes, and how we leverage technology to transform outcomes.
