There are 3 ways to access free tax preparation this year:

1. Call 1-844-WV-CARES (844-982-2737) to make an appointment.  NOTE: All sites are using social distancing and masks are REQUIRED.
2. GetYourRefund – Use this secure platform to send us everything our volunteers need to do your tax return from the comfort of your home! All you need is an email address and a cell phone or other digital device, such as a tablet  Through GetYourRefund, you answer a series of questions online, upload tax documents, and schedule a call with one of our VITA volunteers.  The return will be prepared by one of our IRS-certified VITA volunteers, who will call to review the return, email a copy, and explain how to sign the return online. Access the GetYourRefund Here today!
   GetYourRefund is a non-profit service built by Code for America in partnership with IRS-certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites nationally. Code for America is a non-profit technology organization dedicated to making government work for the people that need it most.
3. MyFreeTaxes.com – File your taxes for free. Get the assistance you need. Seriously. MyFreeTaxes helps anyone of any income file their taxes for free, and it’s brought to you by United Way. There is even a hotline to call if you have questions.  Don’t wait – do your taxes today!
