United Way of the River Cities a Hosting Community Discussions to Help Identify Critical Issues

HUNTINGTON — Let your voices be heard as United Way of the River Cities (UWRC) updates our critical issues in focus areas of Education, Health, Financial Stability and Basic Needs.

We are conducting a community needs assessment to gather information about critical issues in our 5-county service region (Cabell, Lincoln, Mason and Wayne counties in West Virginia and Lawrence County, Ohio). The results from this project will assist in developing a strategic plan for action over the next several years and ensuring that United Way remains aligned with current community needs.

As part of the Community Needs Assessment, we are hosting a series of Community Discussions in several targeted communities. Your knowledge, experience and expertise are crucial to us. These conversations will impact the future work we do in our communities throughout our five-county service region (Cabell, Lincoln, Mason and Wayne counties in WV and Lawrence County, OH).

Day: Wednesday, July 17

Time: 10 –11:30 a.m.

Location: Cabell-Huntington Health Department: 2nd floor Conference Room

703 7th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701

In this 90-minute event, a neutral facilitator will ask for your thoughts on how we can continue to improve the work we do in addressing the critical issues facing individuals and families while planning for a brighter future for our community. For more information, visit www.unitedwayrivercities.org/communitychampion or call 304.523.8929.
