WVABLE is a new federal program that allows individuals with disabilities to save up to $15,000 per year without losing Medicaid or SSI.  The funds can be spent on any life expense for the person with the disability.  And, earnings grow tax free.  Prior to the Federal ABLE Act, individuals could only save up to $2k before benefits were lost.

We need your help getting this information out to anyone with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities.  I am attaching a brochure, a one page handout which is a good summary of the program, and an OPED that ran in Charleston’s paper a few months ago which talks about the benefits of the program.

Enrollment is easy and is done online at www.wvable.com.  This website also has great program information.

If you could forward this information to individuals that you work with, that would be great.  And, if you would like me to come and do a presentation to staff or the community, I can do that also.

Again, this is a great program.  Please help spread the word.

Don’t hesitate to contact me to learn more…

Thank you.
