Shatter the Myths® about Substance Use Disorder Among Youth in Your Community
National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week (NDAFW) is a week-long health observance that links youth and youth influencers with scientists and other experts to shatter the myths about drugs and alcohol. Social pressures and the opioid crisis continue to put youth at risk of drug and alcohol abuse. As a joint initiative by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute on Alcohol and Alcoholism (NIAAA), NDAFW is in its 8th year and will occur again January 22–28, 2018. Come learn about how you can participate in NDAFW and utilize the free resources available from NIDA. Join Brian Marquis, Public Liaison at NIDA, in a discussion about how to bring National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week and the science behind the consequences of drug and alcohol use on the brain, body and behavior to youth in your communities.
