Camp Kesem at West Virginia University.
Camp Kesem is a national non-profit organization with over 70 chapters nationally serving over 5,000 kids whose parents have or have had cancer. Camp Kesem is a student ran organization. All coordinators are students of West Virginia University. WVU is hosting their first summer camp this summer for these children, ages 6-16, affected by their parents’ cancer. This camp will be completely free for these individuals and it will be held at Camp Sandy Cove in High View, WV from June 12-17. At the camp, there will be counselors, an administration team, two nurses, a mental health professional and a Camp Kesem alumnus. The camp is actively looking for families that could benefit from this service. For more information about our WVU Camp Kesem chapter, visit the website: www.campkesem.org/wvu. For any questions or comments, please contact Taylor Snodgrass, Outreach Coordinator, Camp Kesem at WVU at wvu.outreach@campkesem.org or 276.224.3955. Attached is a flyer with camp information, as well.
